
Tapi Dharmarao Award to cartoonist Sarasi
Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge Justice AV Seshasai commented that Telugu language is eternal as long as there are language lovers. It was held locally under the auspices of Tapi Dharmarao Vedika Justice AV Seshasai Awardee who participated as the chief guest in Tapi Dharmarao Award 2022 program felicitated noted cartoonist Sarasi with Dusshaluva. Speaking on this occasion, he said that every award doubles the responsibility of the awardees towards the society. It is commendable to give Prati Edu award in the name of journalist, film writer and linguist Tapi Dharmarao who built a new society by holding a wall. Sarasi, who is a language servant like Sarasi, is appreciated.
Former Deputy Speaker Dr Mandali Buddha Prasad recalled that during his MLA, he introduced a private bill in the Assembly regarding the ancient status of Telugu language.
Samala Ramesh Babu, the editor of Ammanudi and the honorary president of the Telugu Language Association, who presided over the meeting, said that Gidugu Rammurthy Panthulu, the producer of Telugu Vyavahara Bhashodyam, was the disciple of Tapi Dharmarao Gidugu and reminded that Tapi Dharmarao Babu was the first to introduce Telugu business language in newspapers.
Professor Garapati Umamaheswara Rao, cartoonist Bachi and others spoke in this meeting. Language lovers, cartoonists and others participated in this program.
