
Humanitarian Excellence Award to Panduranga Rao
B V Panduranga Rao , Cartoonist, Bangalore Karnataka, was awarded the most prestigious social award of I CAN Foundation National Humanitarian Excellence Award 2021 at the glittering award ceremony organised at Welcome Hotel, New Delhi on 20th December. He was felicitated with a Memento and a Meadal. The award was conferred based on his outstanding various achievements for the past 50 years including his contribution for bringing awareness on Environment through his works , organising Exhibitions, Cartoon workshops, presentations, Tree plantations, Street plays, Flip Books etc. and also for winning numerous awards, prizes at National and International Cartoon Contests for his Cartoons.
Hon’ble Rahul, Kaswan, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha was the Chief Guest on the Occasion.
Yogesh Verma (Chairman, MCD North), Amanpreet Kaur (Joint Commissioner Income Tax), Parmeshwar Bali (Deputy CCC, Ministry Of Ports, Shipping and Waterways), Netram Thagela (Retd. Director, Ministry Of Defence) etc. were present as guest of honour on this occasion.. For this prestigious award one man, one woman and one organization from every state were selected in recognition of their highest order in the social field of human endeavour.
Panduranga Rao is accredited with 14 Limca Book of Records, 11 India Book of Records, Grand Mster Award, URF legend award, and 7 worlds records for his various achievements and creations. He was a Cricket Player and Cricket Umpire.. Plays shuttle Badminton in Veterans Tournaments.
