Cartoon Club of Kerala’s state cartoon awards have been announced.
Ernakulam: 2021-22 State Cartoon Awards organized by Cartoon Club of Kerala in the name ′′ Vannonam Varachonam ′′ have been announced. The competition got about 100 cartoons drawn in relation to Onam.
Manu Mohan, Harikumar, Bukhari Dharmagiri deserve state awards and Kutty Edakazhiyoor and Suresh Haripad deserve special mention.
State award winners will be awarded cash awards, plaques and fame papers.
Jury members Rajindra Kumar and VR Ragesh said the cartoons were discussing Covid, Onam, Maveli and social crisis and exposing the concerns of common people.
Coordinator cartoonist Usman Irumbuzhi and curator Shanavas Mudikal said that the award distribution will be held later following Covid standards.

Manu Mohan, Harikumar and Bukhari Dharmagiri received state awards and Kutty Edakazhiyoor and Suresh Harippad received special mention.
The state award winners will be presented with cash awards, plaques and certificates.
