Goran Celicanin


He was born 30.01.1960. in Krusevac. He finished elementary and high school (Gymnasium/natural-mathematical direction) in Varvarin. He finished Faculty of mechanical engineering (motor vehicle direction) in Belgrade.

He is a member of ULUPUDS from 1994. with freelance artist status from 1998. to 2015, and since March 2007, the title of distinguished artist.

The member of UNS from 1998. The member of USUS from 2016.

He deals with illustration, caricature and comics. For his work he has been awarded at home and abroad with more than 180 awards and recognitions.

Awarded three times with plaques (2000,2003,2004.) ULUPUDS. He is the first to receive the annual cartoon award ‘Laza Kostic’ (2003). He is the winner of concurrent awards of ‘Pjer’ (third-1991, first-2004, second-2008)

He is the recipient of the ‘Master Class Feather’ award, named ‘Master of caricature’ (Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 2005) and many other awards at home and abroad.

His artworks are in the museum’s collections of humor and private collections an all continents.

Participates in many art colonies as well as humanitarian artistic activities. He collaborates with many of our and foreign newspapers. He has published three books: ‘Fables without words’ (1994), ‘Cartoon folder’ (1997) and ‘Map of war drawings’ (2000, reprint 2014)

He lives and works in Varvarin, with the studio in Krusevac.
